Advancements in Titanium Alloy Precision Casting Technology for Aerospace

With the increasing demand for high-performance metal structural components in the aerospace sector, precision casting technology for titanium alloys has been making continuous strides. China has now mastered the integrated molding technology for large-sized, thin-walled, and complexly structured titanium alloy components, significantly reducing manufacturing costs. Titanium alloys are widely used in the aerospace field due to their low density, high strength, corrosion resistance, and high-temperature tolerance.

However, issues such as high cutting forces and wear during the production of titanium alloys have limited their applications. By optimizing the precision investment casting process, China is now capable of producing titanium alloy castings larger than Φ1500mm, enhancing the quality of metallurgy and dimensional control capabilities. Although the precision casting technology for titanium alloys in China started relatively late, the gap with international advanced levels is narrowing, and the future market application prospects are broad.

At present, the domestic value of precision casting for titanium alloys does not exceed 2.5 billion yuan. It is projected that future market demand will exceed 100 billion yuan, with the precision casting market for titanium alloys surpassing 10 billion yuan.
